When Miraculously Fifty Shared the Food of Two

When Miraculously Fifty Shared the Food of Two

The Pious Awliyaa Allah, have been declared the true inheritors of the Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. The Holy Prophet ﷺ is reported to have said;

“Scholars are the inheritors of the Prophets.” (Sunan e Tirmidhi)

In the commentary of the Hadith mentioned above, it has also been unanimously agreed that the word ‘Scholar’ in the Hadith is used for those Holy People who have been possessed with the inner and deep knowledge of the Truth.

Indeed, Awliyaa Allah are blessed with several Karaamah (Miracles). The devotees and lovers of Hazrat Shaykh Muhammad Mohsin Munawar Yousafi witnessed several Karmaah (Miracles) of Hazrat Shaykh and hence, recorded them for other lovers of Hazrat to read. The incident, when several Devotees witnessed a Karaamah of Hazrat was similar to a Karaamah which several Holy Companions of the Holy Prophet ﷺ witnessed once while in His Company (Sohbat).

Hazrat Abu Hurayra (RadiAllah HuAnh) , one of the Beloved Companions of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ narrates;

“Once I was hungry, so I followed the Noble Messenger ﷺ into His blessed House. There we saw that a bowl of milk had been brought as a gift. God’s Messenger ﷺ said to me;

“Call all the People of the Bench! (Ahl Ass Suffah).” I said to myself, “I could drink all the milk myself, as I was most in need of it.”

However, since it was God’s Messenger’s ﷺ order, I fetched the People of the Bench. God’s Messenger ﷺ told me to offer milk to them. I gave the cup to each one by one, and each drank until (fully) satisfied.

At the end, the Messenger ﷺ stated to me,

‘The rest is for me and you.’ As I drank, God’s Messenger ﷺ kept telling me to drink more, until I said, ‘I swear by the Glorious One who sent you with the truth that I am too full to drink any more.’ Then God’s Messenger ﷺ drank the rest, invoking the name of God and offering Him thanks”

Similarly, in the same context, on 08th September, 2006, a Devotee of Sayyidi Shaykh Muhammad Mohsin

Munawar Yousafi, Syed Mustajab Ali Shah requested Hazrat to attend a Mehfil-e-Milad in Lahore. Upon the request, Hazrat Shaykh went to the Mehfil e Meelad where approximately fifty-one Disciples (Mureeds) had accompanied Hazrat Shaykh to the Mehfil. Sayyidi Shaykh delivered the Sermon and at the conclusion Syed Mustajab Shah requested Sayyidi Shaykh to have the meal. Sayyidi Shaykh Muhammad Mohsin Munawar Yousafi replied that He would have it some other time but Syed Mustajab Shah insisted Him to have even just a morsel.

Thereupon, Hazrat Shaykh proceeded to the room for the meal but when the food was brought, it was enough for Sayyidi Shaykh only. The hosts of the Mehfil had only arranged for one or two people along with Sayyidi Shaykh but now the number of Companions who had accompanied Hazrat were more than fifty in number. It is, however, Sayyidi Shaykh’s practice to share food with His Companions regardless of the quantity of the food.

Anyhow, He started distributing the food starting from the right hand as according to the Sunnah of Prophet ﷺ. Sayyidi Shaykh gave food to every devotee present in that room. There were more than fifty Murids who were given the blessed food from one average serving dish which usually served no more than two or three people. It was the Karamah of Hazrat Shaykh that everyone who was present there had the food to their full while some of the food was even left in the dish at the end.

There were also some close devotees and Khualafaa of Sayyidi Shaykh Muhammad Mohsin Munawar Yousafi such as Shaykh Haji Abid Mohsini, Shaykh Atiq-ur-Rehman Mohsini, Shaykh Nadeem Mohsini who observed and witnessed the Karamah. Everyone there were amazed how the little quantity of food which was not for more than two or three persons had filled more than 50 people to their appetite with the Spiritual Blessings of Sayyidi Shaykh Muhammad Mohsin Munawar Yousafi.
